In ‘Culture Club’ Melanie Oliveiro speaks with one of the curators of a new Singapore Art Museum exhibition “Hiroshi Sugimoto: Form Is Emptiness”, the first major Southeast Asian exhibition dedicated to the practice of multidisciplinary Japanese artist, Hiroshi Sugimoto. SAM curator Angelica Ong will discuss some of the 60 works that span photography, sculpture and installations - exploring themes like time, perception, spirituality, and human consciousness. Ong will also highlight the 14 fossils from Sugimoto’s personal collection.
