SINGAPORE — Starting today (Oct 15), M1 prepaid customers can use their existing local data bundles while in Malaysia and Indonesia, said M1 in a press statement.

Available on M1’s partner networks Celcom in Malaysia and XL Axiata in Indonesia, the data roaming feature allows customers to enjoy the roaming service at no additional charge by dialling #100# and selecting the affiliated networks in the respective countries.

“Many Singaporeans travel regularly to our neighbouring countries for work, to do some shopping, and enjoy other leisure activities, and we want to give them the convenience of using the same mobile line wherever they are,” said Mr P Subramaniam, Chief Marketing Officer, M1.

M1’s prepaid data bundles are available from S$5 for 1GB of data, usable for up to three days, to S$30 for 3GB, usable for up to 50 days.

Prepaid customers can also choose to purchase the S$30 Super Data top-up option, which comes with 2GB of data and S$100 worth of local calls and SMS messages, valid for 30 days.
