Man’s body found in Singapore River, near Asian Civilisations Museum

SINGAPORE — A man’s body was found in the Singapore River, near the Asian Civilisations Museum, on Tuesday (July 30).
The police said that it was alerted to the incident at 8.25am.
The body was found floating in the water when the police arrived, and was manually retrieved by the Singapore Civil Defence Force.
The man was pronounced dead by paramedics at the scene.
A cleaner, who declined to be named, told TODAY that he saw the body floating near the steps leading to the river just outside the museum.
The police have classified the incident as a case of unnatural death and are investigating.
