PM Lee thanks Inderjit for years of service

Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong yesterday thanked his outgoing Ang Mo Kio GRC colleague, Mr Inderjit Singh, for his years of service as a Member of Parliament (MP).

In a post on Facebook and Instagram, Mr Lee said Mr Singh had taken good care of residents as an MP for almost 20 years.

Mr Singh, 55, last month announced in a Facebook post that he was retiring from politics by the next election.

“He is retiring to spend some well-deserved time with his family,” Mr Lee said. “Thank you Inderjit and all the best!”

“I assured residents that they will continue to be well taken care of. At the next election, most of Kebun Baru (helmed by Mr Singh) will be transferred to Nee Soon GRC. But whichever GRC it falls under, our goals remain the same — to do our best to serve residents,” Mr Lee added.
