Israel expands incursion in Lebanon despite ceasefire, seizes Beaufort Castle
Lebanon's president has accused Israel of "vicious and reprehensible aggression", after the IDF stepped up its offensive against Hezbollah and seized a castle at a strategic site. The escalation comes just ahead of a fourth round of US-hosted talks between the two sides scheduled for tomorrow. Israeli troops have taken control of Beaufort Castle — which overlooks much of southern Lebanon — as ground operations expand despite a ceasefire that has been in place for weeks.
