New chief of Indonesia’s free meals scheme says agency will focus on remote areas

Several senior officials have been removed amid anti-graft investigations in Indonesia. One of them is the head of a multibillion-dollar free meals programme, which is a key plank of Prabowo Subianto's campaign for presidency. The agency’s newly appointed head says that moving forward, fewer new kitchens will be built and resources will be directed towards remote communities instead.
