Life expectancy of Singapore residents rises to 83.9 years in 2025 from 82.9 in 2015

According to a Singstat study, life expectancy of Singapore residents increased to 83.9 years in 2025. Singaporeans have added a year to their overall age compared to a decade ago. Over the last decade, male life expectancy improved by 1.3 years to 81.8 years. Female life expectancy improved 0.9 years from 85.1 years in 2015. For residents aged 65 in 2025, they can expect to live up to 21.6 years more. The report also looked at the expected survival rates of newborns, whose life expectancy also improved. Newborn girls showed better survival rates — they are expected to be alive at 85.
