Mandai's Rainforest Wild Adventure East housing African-inspired zone officially opens
Mandai Wildlife Reserve's 10-year rejuvenation plan is now complete, with the opening of Rainforest Wild Asia — its fifth and final park. The attraction is also Southeast Asia's first to house the endangered okapi, a close cousin of the giraffe. The Mandai Wildlife Reserve is home to five wildlife parks: Singapore Zoo, River Wonders, Night Safari, Bird Paradise, and Rainforest Wild Adventure. The entire site is 126 hectares, about the size of 173 football fields. The Singapore Tourism Board said Mandai Wildlife Reserve will help Singapore achieve its 2040 target of earning at least S$47 billion in tourism receipts. Rachel Teng reports.
