On The Red Dot: I Am Living With Pain
In Singapore, 1 in 12 people live with chronic pain, a condition more prevalent in women. I Am Living with Pain follows three young women whose invisible illnesses shape every part of life.
Olivia, who has ankylosing spondylitis, plans each morning, commute, workday and date around flares that make ordinary movement agonising. Agape, living with Stage 4 endometriosis, weighs pain relief, fertility, surgery and the dream of starting a family, while rebuilding her life through diet, exercise and medical choices. Nay, with multiple pain conditions, confronts seizures, cancelled plans, job instability and the risks of living alone as she fights for independence through art.
Across hospital visits, family tensions, romance, work and public transport, the series reveals the emotional cost of being young and sick in a world that expects proof of pain. Yet it is also a story of adaptation, love and stubborn hope: three women learning how to survive, be believed and imagine a future.
